CHICAGO, IL– November 18, 2015 – Acquia, the digital experience company, today announced the winners of the 2015 Partner Site of the Year awards. In its third year, the competition serves as a platform to showcase the best examples of digital innovation from Acquia partners.
Caxy submitted its work on The Field Museum for consideration in the entertainment category. A small committee selected 16 winning projects from 48 finalists, evaluating each site’s visual design, functionality, integration and overall customer experience to identify the winners in each category.
Caxy worked in collaboration with The Field Museum’s internal marketing and development team as well as Table XI to create the site. The process involved moving thousands of pages of content from the old site, and developing the backend using best practices for Drupal.
Our goal was to leverage as much value from the Drupal community’s work on core and contrib projects as possible to make future maintenance, security and other updates as straightforward as possible. We also needed to implement Table XI’s design faithfully and without significant compromises. This award affirms that we accomplished these goals.
